Access to stuffing box

I have a Catalina 390 and have a hard time gaining access to the stuffing box to change or tighten the packing. Any modification ideas to gain better access? Thanks

You should really be asking this in the Catalina 380/390 group. Its a Yahoo discussion group that has a lot of members and is very helpful. Find it by googling the Catalina 380 and maybe Yahoo groups. There are obviously more 380 owners, but there are 390 owners as well.
