How does one get access to the deck organizers on a H34- 1983 vintage I am in the process of adding more line clutches and leading more lines back. I think the deck organizers are probably the originals- Sheaffer. I looked under the removable panel along the sides of the cabin and i cant see anything else that might provide access.

Screws?

Your H34 is not a Cherubini so is probably different from my H37C. On my boat the deck organizer and standing block were screwed into a plywood coring. Try backing out one of the "bolts". If it comes out as a bolt then there is an embedded and tapped plate. But maybe the bolt will look like a screw.

Sorry to tell you this,,,,

The bolts are tapped into aluminum plates. It's tough getting them out, as installed by the factory after a short period of time, not to mention after 21 years. :( Check the last film strip on my web site for an idea to mount more turning blocks. Hope that helps. Also Richard, this post should be in 'Big Boats'.

Like the look of yours, Fred

How did you attach the organizers- redrill to a depth deep enough for the threaded bolt and tap the plate hole? How dep is the plate embedded? regards
