Access stanchion nuts behind cabinets 86 C36

need to replace stanchions midship on my C 39 1989. Does anyone know how to get to the nuts behind the cabinetry hopefully without hacking all the beautiful woodwork apart. I attempted this once before when I got the crazy idea to rebed my stanchions but could not find a way to access them. Now I have to.
Also this is my first post.

I rebed my stanchions and had to grind clearance. I have a teak trim I removed and used a Dremel to grind the wood paneling that blocked access. It's worth doing and gives you future access if needed. Good luck.

I'll have to look next time I'm up at the boat... Maybe that is why some PO hacked the back of the cabinet in front of the nav table..
