The new Old Boat has glassed in tanks for fuel & water. (It's a 1979 Gulfstar 37)
Physically cleaning both tanks is a mandatory part of recommissioning.
They are built with a bronze access plate with fill and draw fittings through it. It appears to be a center plate and a ring with 4 screws. There doesn't seem to be a thread lead between the ring and center sections. The screws loosen easily and spin as if there is a nut on the inside.
Any experience with these out there?
Thanks
