I like to leave refrig on all the time at the dock. Is there an option to power an AB unit withe AC current while at dock?

Not needed

Raleigh: It is really not needed. You can just leave you battery charger on and the refrigeration on. This will take care of your requirements. We have been doing this for 5-6 years with no known problems.

AC/DC

Raleigh, like Steve mine runs year round off the battery/battery charger. I have heard of occasional problems with small battery banks and some chargers. Seemes like the charger reacts to the compressor coming on by going into the absorption mode. Having this happpen 3 or 4 times every hour eventually cooks the battery. I have 4-220 AH 6 volt golf cart batteries and a Heart Interface and have never had a problem in 6 years.

AB sells AC converter for small compressor

But it is specifically NOT for the Cold Machine/Super Cold Machine (I asked their tech support...) The large compressor draws too much power at start-up. You need to have a pretty good sized battery for the initial amp load (before it settles down). If you have the small unit.... (Can't find the link - the Waeco site in Europe is down...) This will probably be a special order item.
