I am planning to install a mermaid 12,000 BTU unit. The unit will be mounted under the bench seat in the table area. The water pump and a 6" and 4" Y adapter will be in the same location. The 6" flex pipe will be run thru the cabinet with the sliding doors and a directional outlet would be placed over it. The 4" will run to the head and V berth. Any information on the equipment or installation would be appreciated. Thanks, Gerry

H31_83-87 AC Installation

There is a LOT thoughts on this in the achives. On my H31 1987, I installed a 12,000 BTU unit in the hanging locker on the port side across from the head. Supply air out the top with a distribution box. Return air grill in the door and filter mounted onto the unit. Supplied V-berth with 4" tube out the back of the distribution box. Works great, no other supply hoses required, cools entire boat. Check the archives bill
