AC/DC

For some reason I have it in my head not to run both AC/DC power at the same time. Is this corect or am I mistaken. no problem

in a properly wired boat there is no reason that both forms of power can't be used at same time.

However...

It's common practice to hook up to shore power and then run your DC-based electronics. However, it's not a good idea to run your engine- and shore-based charging systems at the same time.

Does it create an overload on the battery switch?thanks
