Mine is doing the same thing. On mine, I can see the digital thermometer drop immediately when it kicks on, causing it to shut off, and then see the thermometer go up a degree or two, causing it to cycle on. I have to run it with the thermometer set to 55. As soon as the weather permits, I am going to rip the hanging locker apart to get at the AC and look for corroded low-voltage connections and clean them. If that doesn't work, I'll by a 400$ high-tech controller (fx?) if I can find one for my unit.
