ABS plumbing fittings on sink drains?

In order to create more storage space under my head and galley sinks, I would like to re-route the drain hoses. This would involve several 90 degree bends in 1 1/4 " tubing and I would like to use commercially available ABS plumbing fittings to make the curves. There seem to be many more types of fittings available in ABS than in bronze and there is a considerable price difference. I am planning to make the final connection to the throughhull with flexible hose. Is there any reason why ABS plastic cannot be used in this drain application? If it is not acceptable, are there any other sources for 90 degree sweep or street ell drain fittings other than bronze?

white Plastic

My 2007 has white plastic plumbing in the head and galley with flexible drain hose, the white plastic that they use is normal plastic that can be found in any hardware store.

ABS is fine for use in drains

And you can use any that are available from local hardware stores or plumbing supply stores.

One caution, though... A number of 90s is likely to create "traps" where water will stand in your drains, which is something you don't want. You can prob'ly accomplish what you need to accomplish with the same number of bends that are in the line now, by using longer hoses and some C clamps.
