Decided to start closing the boat up for the winter, went below and found a shreaded roll of paper towels. "oh my gosh, mice" I have never had mice problems aboard my boat so I never gave it a thought. They got into the mainsail and ate holes in it. I am just sick about it. They could have ate any of the other gear on board: storm gear, life jackets, sailbags no they had to go for the main !!!! I am at a loss as to what I'm going to do for next year. Can that type of damage be repaired or am I just better off looking for a used sail somewhere? thanks steve

I had a 12 inch round hole plus some smaller ones in the main of my 26 when I bought the boat. Jerry at Sailcare,Inc. fixed it up like new for me. Plus the cleaning job was great. A bargan price even with freight to and from the east coast. My Jib was going to cost the price of a cheap replacement so I sewed the old sail myself and will buy a new N. Pride one in a year or so when the jib finally gives up the ghost. It depends on how you are using your boat as to what to spend on the sails. My main was below decks and the jib was left uncovered on deck for ten years. Good luck!
