A question I hate to ask....

Does anyone know what has happened to Ross?

He was based in Maryland and was a frequent, wise contributor to this forum with advice as varied from how to can meat to what the best wood was for a particular project on a boat.

But was thinking the other day that he's not been active for quite some time now. I hope he's OK.

It's interesting how we get comfortable with seeing posts and getting advice from people we've never laid eyes on.

Hope someone has good news about Ross.

Ross

As best I can remember he was trying to sell his due to health problems. Last post I can recall was that he ended up donating it to the sea scouts or similar organization

As I recall, Ross did not indicate that he had health problems. I know his wife was ill with cancer many years ago but had been in remission as they enjoyed years of happiness with their boat. Ross seemed to indicate that his wife's fear of the water had finally overtaken her tolerance to be on the water in their boat. He seems to have complete devotion for his wife, so sadly, he decided to give up the boat. Reportedly, he eventually donated his boat, finding no offers to buy it.

Ross has many on-line friends and admirers on this forum, me included, so I hope that he and Nancy are healthy. I would hope to hear from him again.

Well put, Scott. I hope they are well. I remember his culinary posts in particular.

As I have been told, Ross is well and now that he is boatless, he is enjoying his other interests.
