Finally I have a few shots of my newly installed sssssliding kitchen unit....

I finished this a couple of months ago, actually it is not finished yet, I have to add a hinged table leaf on the end. We have used it for a couple of weeks of cruising and we are thrilled with it, it works great.
I put 1/4" flat Teflon strips under each corner and it slides real easy.
The faucet is connected to an electric pump underneath, press the switch and water comes like magic. The drain is connected to the original grey water tank and empties either by pump-out or turn the valves and with a Guzzler over the side she goes.
I wondered what the alcohol stove would be like when I purchased it because I had heard they take forever to cook with, how wrong was that hearsay! they are fast, hot and work so well. It is a Cookmate (excellent quality) and identical to the Origo but a lot cheaper. You run them on Methal Hydrate available everywhere at low cost.
Underneath is the cupboard where we have a garbage container and cutting board.
The bent metal handle at the back is the locking mechanism for holding the kitchen in place, pull the handle up and slide it along.
It did not take very long to make, a sheet of 1/2" teak plywood, a jig saw, a drill and screws. I sketched (very rough) it out on paper first to get the sizing then started cutting. It is all screwed together with SS screws.
I added 1/2" teak molding on the exposed plywood edges.
To finish, I rubbed stain (with sealer) on with paper towel.
The sink, small upper deep pan and lid are all "Steam Pans". You get these from commercial kitchen suppliers and they are cheap...like $12.00 for the sink! They make great sinks, all I did was cut a hole and fitted a sink drain assembly from the local marine supply.
The SS top I had bent up at the local sheet metal shop and I cut out the sink holes etc.
I am going to add a hinged table leaf to the end that will rotate upward for more counter space
All in all it came out good and it works well, the wife loves it?
It slides in a little bit less than the original FG one's (I never had one) because I made it a bit higher to fit the MW.
There seems to be no problems with it at all.
Note: no cushions yet!!!
