Here's an easy project for a comfy floor that is thick dense foam and does not absorb water, comes apart for easy access to the bilge too.
I found these 24"x24" squares in a package of 4 at Walmart for $10.00.
These are available everywhere and are used for playrooms, laundry rooms etc. I wanted blue so I found a they had packages of 2 blue and 2 red.
I bought 4 and that was enough for all blue cabin, red cockpit and a 6 panel mat in front of the laundry machines.
I cut out a pattern using Bristol board and Cellotape, laid it out on the picnic table and cut it all out, took it to the boat and it fit like a glove.
I was surprised to find the 2 squares fit beautifully snug into the cockpit without touching them.
They are great to walk on and are cost effective...look good too!
