Garmin just came out with a multi instrument bundle that includes a mast top wind transducer, an Airmar DST800 and 3 of their GMI 10 multifunction displays. I see online pricing as low as $1,200 which very favorably competes with Raymarines ST60 package which has dedicated displays.

Unfortunately I spent more than $1,200 this past spring for the wind/speed/depth/temp bundle and also an extra display.

So if I had just waited a little longer I could have had an additional MFD for total less money than what I spent. At least I can have multiple readings on one page and also easily swap pages with the MFDs.

Hi Tim,
You made the right decision if your unit does everything you wanted it to do. Sometimes being on the leading edge turns to the bleeding edge when the parts don't work as claimed. Next year there will probably be another system with more features telling you what you already suspect is going on, no worries.
