I think that you may not be the only one running late this year Main. This crazy weather has us about a month behind last year.

There are a few nerve wracking minutes but the Cal is very stable
My friends 7' Draft is a bit more nerve wracking but the same guy has moved them dozen's of times

Nice. We just need to bend on our sails and we are done. Unfortunately I have a nasty head cold and the wind has not cooperated. Sure, plenty of wind to keep me from bending on the sails until they are set and then it will die.
Bad news man. My hill projects are easily a month behind. The only saving grace is, the customers have not really WANTED their boats back yet..

I'm running behind schedule, too. This is our first full season as boat owners, and I made the rookie mistake of waiting until I was ready to have the boat hauled to ask the marina to haul it. It seems they're a little busy right now (I should have known). It's going to be a few weeks before they can get to it.
The boat is in our yard and about 3 feet from my barn, it actually plugs into the barn for "shore power"....
Loaded all contents this morning in about 15 minutes. Cushions, sails, fenders, life jackets, running rigging, canvas, blankets, sheets, pillows etc. etc.. Soft goods are just tossed from the second story of the barn into the cockpit. Cushions are placed on the davits then moved from there into the boat... Beats running up and down the stairs..... All by design..
Yes all installed and working like a charm. Powering the Espar right now because it was in the low 30's this morning.......:cussing:

It is 400Ah rated (though during testing I ran a 100A load for over 4 hours straight and withdrew 425Ah's and not one cell got close to a low volt situation..
I have my battery monitor programmed for 375Ah to be on the safe side. Usable capacity would be 320Ah if I programmed it for 400Ah but instead I have a usable capacity of 300Ah or a full 80% of the bank. I plan to cycle to 50-60% DOD not 80% and that will reportedly take me up into the 4000-5000 cycle range.
I am also only charging to 13.7V (well below the safe range) and I still get 400Ah out of the bank in capacity testing. She does not start limiting current until the last 10 - 15 minutes of charging or about the last 1% of capacity..... She literally takes everything my 140A alternator can throw at her until about 99+% SOC...
She's in...!!!!!! Only about 9 days late but still not bad considering the weather. I was surprised to see only about 5 other boats in at the marina.. Late season for sure..

Was considering heading to the boat this weekend to untarp and do the wax on wax off, but..... we'll see. :cry:
