A little knowledge...

Mea culpa, mea culpa:

Having just had the pleasure of meeting a fellow Vega owner (and purchasing
a 30 year old gas engine), and after discussion regarding "manuals", I now
realize that there are two manuals, one that was originally provided by the
manufacturer and another that contains the collective wisdom of many Vega
owners. I was unaware of the existence of that manual and I do not know if
it resides with long time members of the association or how it is available
to new members now that the old web site is inactive. If I offended anyone
in the group, I apologize. Those of us who are new to Vega ownership may
allow our enthusiasm about the Vega to undermine the previous and continuing
efforts of those who have been involved with the maintenance of the Vega
Association. That was certainly not my intent. The existence of this
association is ensured by the past efforts of individuals like Sid Rosen and
to the continuing work of Chuck Rose and his dedication to the newsletter
(great job), information shared among Vega owners and the discussion
generated on this site. I hope to part of the discussion for many years. A
parting thought...how about a reunion in memory of Sid Rosen? The pacific
North West obviously comes to mind, Hawaii would be nice (although 30 days
on the Pacific Ocean does not really appeal to me), or ....Any thoughts?
