A beautiful sailing day in Milwaukee today. Warm west wind, and warm flat water. Hope you all made it out.

Great Weekend on this side of the lake too

Hi Paul, I live in Muskegon Michigan just on the other side of the lake from you. Not only did we have a great sailing day today, we had a great sailing weekend. The wife and I have had a 1987 Catalina 22 for about a year and a half and this weekend we had our first sleep over on the boat. Only problem we had was that the cushions the "V" bearth are like sleeping on a rock. Took one of my nephews out Saturday. Dorpped the anchor, and the swim ladder, and we had a blast. Weekends like this, are why we put up with January.

Absolutely!

George,

We were out at Muskegon this past weekend as well. The sailing on the Muskegon Lake was fantastic! There were a ton of boats out. Wouldn't be surprised if we sailed past each other.

Funny thing is, on Saturday, we were having a great time on the "little lake" and decided to go out the channel and have some more fun on Lake Michigan. When we got out there, there was no wind. None. All the boats were just luffing and bobbing. Fired the motor up, went through the channel and, sure enough, once we got into Muskegon Lake, the wind was great! Weird, but not unheard of.

Something we use when sleeping on the boat is to pick up a couple of those eggshell foam mattress pads. Really helps with "sleeping on rocks".

BTW, we took a slip at Harbour Towne marina and had a great time.

Fair winds,

Nick
