I have found a broken weld on one of my lifeline stanchions. Can it be welded? Does anyone have a scheafer one piece stanchion I can buy? Or maybe two so I can make a boarding gate? I have a Hunter '77 - 30'er. The diesel gauge is on top of my tank. It can only be read from the starboard sail locker while standing on my head. Is this the same on all mid 70s hunters? has anyone ever turned the gauge around to be read from the pilot berth access hatch? Has anyone installed any gauges [oil, water, amp, fuel] ?

SS Can Be Welded

I had 5 broken stanchions when I bought my boat. PO had them welded at the base. Place did a good job.
