The new West and Defender Catalogs are now out.

The new Sailrite catalog will not be out for maybe a month, but it is on line. There are another 25 pages this year, so there are many new items.

The Dell laptop computer, model Inspirion 1110z, has built-in GPS. Maybe next they'll put the GPS in a desktop model?

Why would anyone need GPS in a desktop model...desktop models aren't generally used in mobile applications, and once you know their position, it doesn't generally change.

Just got Defender's catalog the other day and while looking at the cover realized that I recognized the boats and the location. Anyone else ? As a hint both boats are from the same builder and the 56' motorsailor is the first of it's kind.

Well we know it is a "far coast" picture because there are no shorelines like that over here. Also noticed the Connecticut address on the back cover. But I thought I always talked to them in Florida.

Funny, We always refer to it as THE coast in that the "known world" for us ends somewhere just east of the Rockies, we'd have to circumnavigate to get to Connecticut.

I'm sure the manufacturer greased somebody's palm to be on the cover. I don't find in the catalog anwhere that says "On The Cover..." .

Correct, the motorsailer is "Nordsail 1", they motored it across the Pacific then put the spars and rigging on here. The location is just east of Dana Point, CA the coast runs east/west here so it's just "below" the harbor.
