I'm interested in purchasing this dinghy but can't find a single bit of information about it anywhere on the internet. The title says it's a 9' Franklin, but there is nothing to be found regarding Franklin. It appears to be a Boston Whaler look alike. Does anyone have any information or ideas as to the manufacturer? Thanks!! Jeff

Over-powered?!

A 9.9 on the transom of my dinghy would cause it to capsize, much less than what appears to be 18 horses on this one in the picture!

My bad

For calling it a dinghy. Would it have made any difference if I would have called it a tender? It still doesnt't change the question. Thanks for the advise Capt. Ed.

There are 2 Franklin boat builders listed

in the Coast Guard's manufacturers database in Florida, both out of business. If you get the 3 letter manufacturer's code from the hull number you can figure out which of the several companies named Franklin it was. See attached link, to the database, type Franklin in the space for company name.

That's a little Pocket Rocket! Aint no dink and aint no tender. Looks very small and not capable of hauling people and supplies like a dink should, IMHO.

I don't know, how are you

planning to handle that thing? Tow it, or davits? It looks heavy and unwieldy, doesn't appear to have much room and looks a little unstable to me, not to mention overpowered. Is it made in China?
