I'm at Lake Tahoe right now (Northstar actually). The lake was like glass today. But in late November, not a ski boat to be seen. Just some guy on a standup surfboard paddling by. The first cold winter storm is forecast to start on Friday. Ski Season!

Tim: I think you went sailing with me a few years ago. Unfortunately, I have been doing my own winter prep at home and then the boat is being hauled for paint & service. However, if you are down again some time, PM me and we'll see if we can take Attitude Adjustment out.

And with that done I will say that Jersey is called the "garden state" because "the man made and refined petrochemical armpit of the universe" would not fit on a license plate.
Back on topic; It's not LA or L.A. (only two I know of are Louisiana and Lower Alabama) but OK is alot closer to Tahoe so if ya get this way. Shoot me an email.

Hey Rick! That was me. What a day! Great wind, bad jokes, strong drinks and a worthy vessel. Dinner at the club, afterwards was icing on the cake. I'll send you a pm and we'll exchange particulars. I'll be down in LB quite a bit. I'm working on a cooperative educational program with the LB Marine Institute. Bad weather materialized. No sailing but much fun.
Ha! The trip went well. Came back home to EIGHT FEET of snow. All that wet stuff on the coast was white stuff at home! Thanks to everyone for the replies.... you guys are hysterical.

My boat is kept, in the summer, at Camp Rich but I live in Truckee on Donner Lake. Would love to meet you and take you and yours out on Tahoe. I'll send you a PM. I also keep a Prindle 16 and an El Toro along with a SUP and a couple of kayaks here on Donner. Ski season is DEFINITELY on and has already seemed to be helping my condition! We should make some turns.
