I am tired of hauling my insufficient Cruise Air out each time I wish to cool off during summer. I am at a loss as to the best place to install a self-contained unit. Suggestions for best placement would be appreciated.
What you need to do is make an empty box the size of your A/C unit of choice.Then, try and fit the box in various places on the boat you feel you want to mount it. Then,consider the ducts,water feed and electric.
Mine is located in the head under the aft part of the counter. It fits well with an air intake from the aft berth and two ducts going to the shelf in the salon on the port side. The thermostat and controls are located in the aft door panel that opens beside the Electric panel.
Hi, We installed a Mermaid 12K AC/heat pump last June. There is a empty compartment in front of the water tank.
