I have a Mermaid marine air conditioner. I've not seen an annual maintanance checklist. I've been just checking the strainer and making sure water is coming out through the through hull. Currently, water flows, but the air coming out is not cold. Any maintenance suggestions?Tim

I have a Mermaid system also. checking water flow, strainer, clear air intake is just about it. Also, put antifreeze in hoses during winter. You might want to check with Mermaid on the Net. Very good system.

Definitely call Mermaid.

They are very helpful on the phone(800) 330-3553. I think the input pump can be circulating water without the compressor running. But surely you would know from the sound, or lack of it.

I agree with ED

You couldn't hurt anything by running water from dockside at pressure thru the unit, I made a hose with 2 female ends to do that, (a lot of gunk comes out).Don't forget the air intake filter too!That will clean the unit, but that isn't the problem you face.Call Mermaid
