Hunter Passage 42 Kemah, TX
Hi all! I am looking for some replacement lamps for my power panel. After our lightning strike I have some lamps out. My deck light indicator was blown right out of the socket! I also have about 4 other light that now don't work. Has anyone found a source for them. I added some photos of the panel.
Our boat is a 1991 Hunter Passage 42.

Thank you. Dean

Not sure if they fit the 42 but the pannel on my 34 can use the LEDs from radio shack as replacements and they have red/orange/green lights. The Radio Shack catalog numbers are 276-270 for Red; 276-271 for Green, and 276-272 for Orange. I found them in my local store. They fit the pannel holes fine. Therre is a little nut to tighten them into the panel. The ends of the wires have to be changed to fit where the original wires were.. you will need some shrink wrap to make 'em all insulated .. The polarity is important.. takes some time and patience, but it works out well! Good Luck with it.

the parts, led and resistor are available from PanelTronics, who made the panels for Hunter. I ordered replacements and some for spares. They are in the Miami, FL area.

Plan a couple of hours to replace them, as you will need to drop the panel, and if you have not done so, it will be a shock to see it and get your bearings as to which LEDs are which and where. The AC side is different than the DC side, and I would suggest that you SHUT DOWN ALL power to the boat and the Nav and turn off your batteries, etc.

I still used a piece of card stock/thin cardboard to lay on the exposed panel to keep stuff from falling into the wiring and may be causing a problem later.

It is certainly a a DIY, just take your time.
