On my H376, my rear queen berth has been OKAY. The foam mattress offers some support, unless of course you end up in the "crack". I recently from an item that doesn't cost alot and the improvement is huge. At Costco they have a 2" mattress pad made from the theraputic foam you see in the ads all the time. Cost is about $140 for the queen size. Best $140 I've spent so far on this boat. I'm sure with a little ingenuity you can male this fit about any berth. Bob.

Where does it go?

Does the pad go on top or on the bottom? I added the HyperVent bottom cushion to prevent condensation on the bottom of the mattress and that helps a little with the cushioning and definitely stops the condensation.

Can this be cut .....

...or shaped to fit the irregular shape of the aft cabin, Bob ? We put a real cheapo foam egg crate foam on ours and it is OK but not along the lines you describe. Thanks ...... Jeff

how to cut

I've had success cutting foam with an electric carving knife. Just watch your fingers!

Hot?

They have the theraputic foam pads at Sam's Club as well. The idea is to get the benefits of the very expensive Tempurpedic mattresses at a fraction of the cost. I did some research on those mattresses and most people find them very comfortable. The one consistent complaint is that they are hot. Probably because they don't breath well. The theraputic foam pads will likely have the same problem. Just something to consider, but still sounds like a great idea. I don't think there should be any problem cutting the pad to size. Cutting the foam

The foam is easy to cut. Use a single each razor, take your time. The pad comes with a cotton zippered cover that can be tucked under, or if you're really talented I guess you can modify the cover too. The foam is very dense and not hot. Actually quite firm. Bob F.
