I started messing around with a foil on my windsurfer this year so have a little feel for how much room there is for error compared to “normal”. The margin in foiling i think is pretty small as I took a couple of nasties that in “normal” mode I would have just shrugged off and kept going. Maybe that’s just learning curve but the sensation of flight lulls you a bit so maybe reaction time is affected.
