After working for 5 weeks straight this past summer cruise i shut down the unit to defrost. After about 2 weeks i went to start up the unit agian and it started but when i returned the following day it was not running and i can't get it to start. I did all the 12v checks making sure that voltage was present at the right points and i did a resistance check of the 4 pins (older unit) on the compessor and do have approx the right resistance. before i invest in a retro fit module or scrap the unit is there a way to check the elect module first. The unit is old ( r12 so i guess it was installed in the 80's) so i'm not sure if it even pays to try to fix it....any ideas thanks

Chet You may want to consider posting this on the A/B board on this 'site, instead of general interest. Or, just call WAECO A/B, they're very helpful. Stu

FIX IT

I had a similar problem with my AB control module, circa '86. You can send it to Miller Marine in Jacksonville, FL, for repair, normally costs $90 plus tax and shipping. Their phone is 904-388-3960.
