I find it very difficult to use the the OEM traveler on my 376 with my dodger installed. Has anyone made/done a modification to make use of the traveler easier?

Thanks. Bob

Do you have slits in the dodger front window and cam cleats on the traveler bar?

Yeah, but getting the lines out of the cam cleats is a bear under a load. I was thinking about eliminating the cam cleats on the traveler bar ends and leading the lines in under the dodger to a new cam or clutch on each side.

Has anyone done this?

Bob: That is probably a good idea. Our HV'36 has blocks on each side of the companionway so the lines lead back to the cockpit. We have 4 clutches (Garhauer) on each side of the companionway.

I have a 1998 376 set up like that and agree under load it is hard to adjust. I was thinking of doing the same. I look at placing the clam cleat between the two winches. The is a place in the line storage area that would work. it is a pretty direct lead. Just not sure the area is strong enough.
