I am looking for the best way to ventilate my boat. I have looked at solor ventilators and cowls. I'm told that the solar vents tend to get stepped on and broken a lot. I dont see where to put a dorade vent. Any suggestions? I also would like to put ac in eventually.

Nicro Day/Nite Vents

Chris: Try the Nicro Day/Nite vents. There was a thread a few weeks ago on the issue. They have them with S.S. housings. Have had one for several years and never got broken. In your area, I would recommend an intake and an exhaust unit. Intake in v-berth and exhaust in the main salon. You can cut a hole in the hatches. Get the biggest units (4"). They work and are not that fragile.

Ditto on nicro vent

I just have one exit vent on my forward hatch and a passive vent in the rear cabin. Makes all the difference between mold and no mold in my 35 down here in Miami.
