Considering purchase of an 86 22 and have a couple of questions.

1. What is the towing weight.

2. What is the draw with keel up?

3. How long does it take to put up the mast?

4. Can the mast be safely put up while underway?

5. How many people does it take to put up the mast?

6. Anything specific I should look at prior to purchase?

Thanks in advance.

3. 1 to 1 1/2 hours the first time, after that, lots less
4. Not if you're moving. Can be done with the boat in the water, safer on land
5. I could do it myself after learning how, safer with two
6. Like all older boats, the obvious: leaks, leaks, leaks from portlights, handrails and chainplates; check the keel bolts and crank assembly including pivot, wire and connection to keel

The C22 Association website will really help you.

I agree with Stu
1) Figure on about 3500lbs. give or take 500
2) about 2' draft -the typical rudder is deeper in the water than the raised keel.

6. Check interior wood bulkheads at their bottoms. bilge water. keel slop. (some things can't be easily checked unless you drop the keel) hull blisters. all cables and rope lines. hull and deck integrity. sails and engine. One of the neat things about the C22 is that there are so many out there that fixing something is pretty much almost always possible.
