Let me pre-apologize for my lack of knowledge... I recently traded for a hunter 22 it is something I have always wanted. I love to sail. We took it out for the first time this past weekend. The guy that was with me helping me helped a bunch and said I was missing a piece the attached to the main sail at the aft side of the boom? Can someone tell me what that piece is called or what it looks like?

You might be referring to a clew outhaul. Different boats have different setups. Basically it allows you to stretch the foot of the mainsail so you can flatten (de-power) the lower third of the main. A simple set up is something like this:
1. A line or wire is attached, via a shackle, to the grommet that is at the base of the main at the corner that points aft.
2. That line threads through some small blocks to give you mechanical advantage to stretch the foot of the sail tight.
3. That line then has to be secured so the tension is maintained, usually in a jam or clam cleat or tied around a horn cleat.

If you provide a photo of the aft end (both sides) of your boom, maybe the missing part/s can be identified.

Good luck.

Thanks! That helps a bunch... Just knowing what to search for is a big help! Pictures really make it come to life.

Do see that article I provided the link to as it contains a parts list. As your boat is larger and carrying more sail, I recommend that you step up the sizes of the blocks I used or maybe even throw in another block to achieve more mechanical advantage in tightening the foot of the main.

Ok sounds good, new question... Hope you don't mind... Today I tried to use my sink but after I put water in the tank I still didn't get any water flowing... Do you know if it a manual pump somewhere that I am missing?

Sorry, can't help you there. My Hunter is just a Daysailer, so no cabin and no sink. Suggest you post this question in the Hunter Trailer Sailer section as those people will have more experience with Hunter plumbing.

Good Luck.

Sink

Mine doesn't look like that, it has a screw valve on top, it does have a Manual Bilge Pump but I have no idea where to connect it?
