Good day all,
Looking for some insight, let me start by saying Ty.
I have a '82' C27 Traditional.
My current project is to redo the electrical, im moving the distrubution panel to the closet facing into the cabine area on the port side. Currently it is already cut out with a stereo mounted in it.

What I'd like to know is:
- the type of wood used on the interior, would like to match it if possible, or stain the new panel.
- currently I have one battery and it's located under the bench seat on the starboard side (on wood plaform). I take it that this is the original position? I was looking at relocating the batteries (yes, moving up to two) across the cabine to the port side.

Currently my projects let me sail and enjoy while I do my projects.

Again thanks for the help and I'll post before and after pics.

John

your battery is on starboard? mine in under sofa on port. Where is your freshwater tank? I currently carry three batteries, two for house, and one Group 31 isolated and used with an inverter to power the house plugs when away from dock. Not sure what wood it is but I would use a good oak or other dark hardwood. I redid the countertop using birch plywood underneath. Old English Dark furniture polish works great with the original wood interior and will help blend another wood to match, and hides scratches.

Hi thanks for the input, water tank is starboard also under sofa. Maybe it was thursday when my was build and decided to turn things around.
I'll check the port side, i'm looking at a 2 bank house (Charge with charger 'docked' and alternator under power), and a separate dual purpose for the starter and bilge (charge with charger 'docked' and solar).

Thanks
