8.6 New Owner - Dinghy setup

I'm on the Chesapeake, and want to have a dinghy for shore access from a mooring. Is it better to tow it behind? Or, set up davits and lift it out of the water?

Tow it - 28' is not big enough for davits. Can always put on the foredeck if you need to get it out of the water.
