We hit 8.5 knots today sailing in San Diego Bay at Cabrillo point. Sail Flow expected 14/15 mph winds at the time of day. Beam reach in 1977 C22 with 4 people aboard @ 650lbs, using VIMA sail on iphone. We got wet from the spray - the most fun i've had in the 3 months of sailing.

My buddy and I were out riding our bikes today, had such a good time we never took his boat out. Could see a bit of white-capping out on the bay as we rode back to the west end of Harbor Island

The wind was probably shadowed by Pt Loma there at the sub-base. We need to make a trip around the horn into San Diego Bay. Great place to sail!

Sure Bob, drop me an e:mail. Hope to tow over to lake Pleasant this January for the Birthday Regatta again. Really enjoyed the long distance race they had,(finished 3rd). Hope it falls on a weekend I have off. Retiring next spring and I don't want to take anymore vacation days.
