Does any one know where to get a 10" 1" shaft log with cutlass bearing for a s2 8.0c.Having trouble finding one. Any help would be appreciated.

if you are looking for the shaft strut that is on the out side of the boat that holds the shaft to the hull ...you can get one through your local marine repair shop or marina from Algonac Cast Products in Algonac Mich...they were the original manufactures of this for S2....hope this helps.....

the same company made that one as well i am sure so contact them and see what they say ...but they will not sell direct....get your marina or mechanic to order it for you and negotiate the mark up with them

All you need is a tax id to buy from them. They said I could use my church's id #. It does not need to be someone in the marine business.
For what it's worth I needed to replace mine last season because it leaked really bad. I ended up just globbing on 5200 around the outside and I was dry all summer! I inspected the area during haul out and it still look like the day it went in the water.

well thats great news they neglected to inform me of this ...but i got what i wanted via dealer in alabama and bought thim a nce dinner for there effort...its nice to have good contacts....
