79 H30 Horsepower?

I'm looking at two Hunter 30's, one is a 78 H30 and the other a 79 H30. My question is this: the spec sheet on the 78 says it has a Yanmar 12 hp diesel. The spec sheet on the 79 says it's a Yanmar 15 hp. diesel. Both are original engines, it this a typo?

it is not a typo, look again and it may say that one is a contionus rating and one is a peak or one hour rating both are the same engine.

Series?

This might also represent a difference between the QM series and the later GM series. All other things being equal, the GM wopuld be preferable because from what I'm hearing,major parts are getting tough to find for the QM's.

Our '79 hunter 30 has a ysm 12... that refers to peak HP. Was rated 10 cont. I would be happy to think it can still give me 8..... It makes a racket... less now with new motor mounts, but it will always be a "one banger"!! Not planning to take it out untill it is *quite* dead. There is an information plate on the rear of our engine just above the tranny portion. Check yours.
