Hi there all, I have a '79 Cherubini Hunter that we're nearly finished doing a lot of exterior work to (22 blisters! UGH.) Anyway, we need to replace the propellor but were told by a local company that it's impossible to get one in less than six weeks. That's bull and I know it. The prop has marked on it "13-LH-10". I have the 12 horsepower Yanmar. Thanks for your help - I'll post a bit of a photo album on here some time showing the huge facelift we've given the boat. Prop problem

I don't know where Englewood, FL is... However, try Anchor Miami Propeller: 1-305-635-1308 1-800-683-2175 The mailed me one for my 28.5 Hunter. Funny, mine was a 14x12 right hand 2 blade. The also refurbish props.

What is wrong with the prop?

Aaron: What is wrong with the existing prop? Take it to a prop shop and see if it can be rebuilt. It may take that long to get on that is not a popular size and twist. You should also check with some used gear shops, they quite often have tons of them. You can call these guys to see if they have one. Typically you can add or remove up to 2 degress of pitch from an existing prop. So you do not need the exact pitch.

Don't know

Steve, I don't exactly know. It looks fine - in fact, there are no dings or anything, but the guys who came over to replace the engine mounts and drive shaft said "this thing is shot. listen..." and they flicked it, citing the lack of ringing it did. They said it's become way to soft and said something about two places on it that have warped... I don't know, maybe they're trying to screw me, but why would they just say "it'd be good to find a new one" without offering to do it or sending me anywhere specific? They knew their stuff about the rest of it, so I was inclined to believe them. Thanks, Aaron Norlund

Which Englewood

If you are near Sarasota, you are near General Propeller which is somewhere between Sarasota and Bradenton. Great work, done fast. If it can be reconditioned they can probably help. If you need a replacement check with Marine Salvage in Sarasota, or Don's Salvage in St Pete. Horn's Salvage - also in St Pete - may have something but their gear tends more toward power boats. If you are near Jacksonville, then you should look around over there for both a propeller shop and a salvage company. Both are good to know.

Damn!

Hi there all, Any more resources that I could try? None of those given have what I need. I've been told a three-bladed 12-7-LH would work well, too. Thanks, Aaron Norlund 9414750809

Did you just call Don's

Don is a little bit crazy... it might be better to actually go look what he has. I know it is a long drive from Sarasota.... There are always new propellors - don't know where you buy those, but I assume they are available. Of course they may not have it.... The only new propellors I ever see advertised are the fancy expensive ones (MaxProp, etc.)
