I have recently acquired a 1978 Hunter 30’ that is in need of numerous minor repairs due to storm damage and delinquent maintenance. This is our first sailboat of this size (used to boats half this size and complexity). I’ve been trying (with little to no luck) to locate an owners manual to see where it is we should start in addition to the “what is what” on our boat and what repairs we might be able to do ourselves. I’ve contacted Hunter directly, but they have little available other then a brochure they emailed me. Can anyone advise where to located this type of complete information like one would with a shop manual for a car (or tell me if I’m expecting too much and SOL)?

There are also manuals on Hunter30.org. Plus many of us that use the site have already done what you are talking about. I just completed replacing the I-beam in the bilge.
