Before I cut into the top of the trunk to investigate, does anyone have any info. that would aid in a fix for this headache? In anything more than a one foot chop, wave action causes water to splash into the cockpit through the CB pendant hole and also splashes into the cabin underneath the same spot, but inside. I know the pendant hole (new synthetic pendant now) is much larger than the original and needs to be filled in. It looks like the cabin mold has a seperate CB trunk or cover underneath the deck mold where the CB winch is mounted. Water appears to be splashing into the cabin from in between the deck mold and cabin mold at a spot near the pendant hole. If so, maybe the original S.S. pendant for the centerboard "sawed" into the trunk(s) allowing for the water to enter there. Any suggestions, experiences or insights with this?

Double thickness fiberglass

Spoke to Rudy @ D&R, he confirmed what I thot. The CB trunk is double thick here and needs to be sealed where the pendant sawed away at the joint between the deck mold and the cabin mold.
