Unfortunately, a lot of established name brands have let their quality slip in the recent past... I've got some great Coleman gear from when I was in the Boy Scouts...but their new stuff isn't necessarily as robust.
3.9 X 5 = 19.5 AH using your equivalent "full sun" hours for a planing factor. I said 15.98 based on actual values. Pa-ta-to vs Pa-tot-o.
Two points I was trying to make; you don't get much in the way of AH for the dollars spent and the fact that you are going to subject your batteries to significantly more cycling than other forms of power generation. I assume that using a genset or alternator is synced with the major loads so the batteries don't see big withdraws in AH.
