Kindred Spirit

Compliments to the Watson's, owners of the same make boat, they have a nice personal web site with info on their boat. Thanks in advance to the owners of "Kindred Spirit". Hope this helps, Trevor

For all of us who have

fallen in love with the looks of a boat, this one did it to me. I'm pretty sure it's the same boat. Looks just like my H34, only bigger. Price too. :)

Ihave been dreaming of this boat for years. Aft cp center board, keel. I think the early models had a factory defect. But I dont know what it was.Rob? Most will have cng stove. Very nice center line bed. (not good sea berth) Take a look on Yacht world. Will s/v Pearl H-33

Yes the earlier models had a problem with the bulkheads not being tabed in with the deck, and under heavy seas could in fact seperate causing hull damage,,,,fortunatly ours was not one of them. We have 6'8" head room which I love, and yes 2 queen center line berths fore and aft. The 3 other berths in the salon 1 pull out double and 1 single are great for anchorages but in open ocean need lee cloths. The CNG was converted to 2 propane tanks in the aft lazerette years ago. We have had our problems though. Our Perkins 4-108 seized the first year we owned it for lack of use...it sat in a parking lot for 10 years before we bought it....and last year we were struck by lightning....So weve repowered, replaced all wiring and electronics and batteries....almost as good as new....looking forward to a non eventfully year.

sailnet boatcheck review

Sailnet boatcheck has a great review of n/m morgan 45. There were 2 versions of this boat. One had a fix keel and strip inside full race. I have seen them sell for about $40,000 with about that much value in high tech sails. And the 454 with the rich teak inside. The only thing I would like to add would be a seprate shower stall like the hunter37 cutter.(nicer live abord) Most have a Universal engine of about 44hp Rob what did you repower with?

We repowered with a 2003 Brande new at the time, Volvo D2-55.....its the dimensional replace ment for the Perkins 4-108 so everything lined up without much fuss....as for the $40,000. value you mentioned Im affraid your a bit off...this model goes from $88,000 on the low end to $172,000. on the high end maybe more fully loaded. All I can say is we are happy with her and looking for more time on the water!...went out 2 weeks ago...beautiful day...but...no wind!

N/M 453 AND N/M 454

Morgan ran a add in the earley 80's that said EVERY THING YOU EVERE WANTED IN A SAILBOAT ONLY FASTER. There were 2 modle's the 453 with a fix deep keel and a striped inside.I have seen 2 go for mid 40's. Thay were probley well worn. The nice N/M 454 with cb is much more valuble. I found 7 on yacht world listed from $79,000 to $149,000. the lowest I have ever seen went for about $50,000. It was a unmantained boat with wood rot on the inside.
