Does anyone have a dodger on their 430? If so, any pictures?

One small picture on HOW.

See "The Boats" here on HOW, then "List All Pictures". There is one small picture of a 430 with dodger. Looks good, more "glass" than canvas. Did not check but other models like 450 may be similar.

Hoe about the L37?

Steve, I have a pic in the Photo Forum of the one on my L37 (which you've seen). Do a search on "Cockpit Enclosure" to find it. BTW, contact me thru this Owner's Forum. I lost your email address.

Stephen, don't have a specific picture, but if you go to my web site, you may get some idea of what I have on my 430 - it works great. site is: www.geocities.com/sailburg2. Go to the page titled "Kailani"

Stephen, I do not have a picture, but I have the drawings against which my dodger was constructed last year. If you have a fax, I'd be glad to send it to you. My email address is pmilne@telusplanet.net Peter

Mine dodger is a little smaller that Pete's...

as it is not connected to the front of the arch as his appears to be in his photos, but it's drip-line does extend just aft of the sliding hatch. I'm sorry that I have no photos to send you yet, but the design I have is used on many 430's in the Houston area. If I wanted to be completely protected all the way back to the arch, they make a Sunshade and Connector for it, which is basically a small, forward-facing bimini, and a removable sloping piece that connect the two together. In any case, there is no really small dodger for the 430 that would also protect the companion-way, and there is more windage that I like, but the whole thing comes off and lives in my garage when I don't need it. I do question the ability of any sizable dodger to survive a serious wave impact, and here, I think smaller is better. If you'd like, email me (georgek2@earthlink.net) and I'll take some photos and send them to you. I can also probably get some photos for you of the boats with the "whole nine yards." George is right, that my dodger cannects to and fastens to the forward edge of the arch. A nice feature with this setup is that there is a bar on each side of the boat extending from the arch to the forward stainless frame of the dodger, a great hand-hold when going forward from the cockpit.
