Am I right in presuming that the 3M tape goes near the inside edge of the window as seen from the inside. You will just see the edge of the tape when viewed from inside the cabin ?I'll caulk the 795 round the outside and inside, but essentially most of my mechanical bond will come from the 795
Also, not clear on how you will force the 795 down the edge of the acrylic (3/8') and under to give the large adhesion surface for the 795. This stuff is pretty viscous to be forced all the way under for your distance of (1-1/8 - 3/8) = 3/4". If the 795 would flow freely under the glass, this would be the desired method of installation.
On the other hand I have a problem in applying the 795 to either the window or flange (while open) and forcing it OVER the top of the 3M tape and contaminating it. It will not be the tape that is sticking at that point.
I agree that you MUST have a stand off for the window from the flange but not yet comfortable with 795 going all over the place and contaminating the tape adhesion before installation.
