42 MkII Davits

I am looking to have a set of davits made for our 1996 42MKII. Want to carry aluminum hull inflatable and motor in the davits and also looking to perhaps include a radar/instrument arch in the design.1)Anybody see a good design or know a manufacturer in Southern California?2)Also anybody have experiance with how it may affect the boats set in the water and performance undersail?

Davit Recommendation

We're happy with our Ocean Marine System davits on our C36MkII. We added a pair of struts to keep the stern pulpit from flexing from the torque of the dinghy, and it's rock solid now. The weight of the dinghy does cause the boat to sit a little lower, but I usually just fill up the fwd water tank and it sits level, just a bit lower. Check them out at http://www.vru.com/ocean.
