Our 2007 41DS has a "dish drainer" in the cabinet behind the sink (see attached photo) where dishes can be left to dry. Inside on the right, there is a small "muffin" fan which seems to run whenever the "Courtesy Lights" switch is on on the DC control panel. So far, I haven't been able to locate a switch that separately controls this fan. Does anyone know if there is such a switch and where it might be located?

Interestingly, the light in the engine compartment is on the same DC circuit along with the courtesy lights at the steps down in the cabin sole (forward and aft cabins) and the light at the nav table.

Not sure how yours is wired but our 2008 38 there are three switches on the front of the galley counter below the sink. Two of the switches operate the main cabin ceiling lights. The third operates a light inside the dish cupboard and the fan.

Thanks. I'll explore further the next time I'm at the boat. The three switch panel at the end of the galley "L" (adjacent to the LPG switch) controls ceiling lights above the galley, courtesy floor lights, and ceiling lights above the dinette. I wasn't aware of the existence of the dish drainer fan earlier when I discovered that the center switch controls the floor courtesy lights - it might also control the fan. I'll check that, too.

If you don't have copies of the Owners Manual you can download them here. Also Wiring schemeatics and other vendor info.

Thanks for the Owner's Manual link. I do have one that I downloaded some time ago. As far as I can tell it doesn't even mention the dish dryer let alone referring to a switch for it. It does show locations for some other switches, however.

No separate switch that I can see other than the leftmost one of that group of three referenced above that controls both light and fan

Why would you not want to watch your dishes drying?

:D

Well, there it is (the dish drainer fan/light switch) - right where RJM said it could be found. Thanks.
It's nice that your counter extends out - on our 36 there is hardly any overhang and we constantly bump the switch to "on" when we use the sink. One day I'll figure out a cover or something for it.

Not intending to hijack this thread, but... does anyone know how to replace the light in the dish drying cupboard? And where to get a replacement light?
