411 Blue Hull

I am considering purchasing a 2002 411 Limited Edition that has a blue hull.
the broker has informed me that the boat (single owner) esperienced the irregular fading that affected many other Beneteau blue hulls.
Beneteau painted the hull as a warranty item.
Does anyone have experience (good or bad) with blue hulls?
Especially painted blue hulls.
Also is the additional asking price of $10K worth it for a Limited Edition?
Thanks

I always wondered why people who prefer white hulls always seem to leave the marina in their blue, green, black, etc... car;)

Dark colors can absorb heat and in theory make the interior warmer, however, we've never noticed that phenomena here in Florida.

If you take proper care of the paint, it should not fade. The required care is less onerous than a bare white gelcoat. You have the advantage of a blue 'undercoat' which will mask any errant scratches or dings.

It's all a matter of personal preference

Short answer: Not worth it. If you look at the boat listings for that boat you will find the median price well above $10k. Which means you are looking at a wreck (or have the wrong price posted)

The LE blue hull was done two ways, one was painted, the other was blue gelcoat.
