Congrats on the new boat, if you enjoy yours as much as we enjoy ours you will be very happy with your purchase. Unless I missed it you didn't mention the year of manufacture.

The reason I asked about year of manufacture, you stated 350 hrs, on a 2006 this seems rather low, the tachometer on these boats have been known to have issues with the hour meter display, many owners replaced the tach's so as to show the hours, which would result in a low number of hours being registered.

Interesting... he did mention that it blinks out from time to time and when it does he writes down the hours in a log book that he showed me. Is this an expensive fix?

I will be getting a survey completed and I can tell you that the boat was meticulously maintained. But not knowing the true hours might be a concern.

Thank you for the information much appreciated!

@pumpkinpie it cost me $35, I ordered a new LCD display from China (found the link here in this forum) and there is a procedure also here on how to repair the existing ribbon cable, now the repair didn't work but using those instructions helped me take the gauge apart and replace the LCD and cable in it entirety.
I believe you will find the link here

Many of those displays have problems ( mine ) but from what I've learned the tach still tracks the hours. If he caught a glimpse once in a while they should be accurate. The hours seem low for that age in FLA, mines 5-600, but in Canada so short seasons, but if he sat mostly at the dock would make sense. The survey should show if the boat was heavily used or not and if the condition match the hours.

The boat remained in fresh water up till the past 3 years so not sure if that would make a huge difference in the hours. He did show me a log book where he would catch a glimpse of the hours. He was very upfront and honest. I'm very good and reading people. ;)

I apologize I didn't go to Atlas. But I did find what I feel would make a wonderful boat for us. Thank you for the reference just in case this doesn't work out.

He also stated the prop folds in while sailing. I can't remember the name of the prop but it wasn't sure typical prop.

Did you go to Atlas?

Hey no worries, I just knew they have 2 2006. That was a great layout when we considered it last year.

Freshwater boat is a good find for sure. Plus an owner who has loved their boat is hard to find and worth waiting. Congrats!

Thank you so much for the links and info on repairing and purchasing. If the deal goes through this will be one of the first things I start working on.
