Scott, I have not heard of anybody switching from In-mast furling to a traditional mast. I don't think the groove up the mast would accept any slides that I can think of. As far as dimensions and sail plans you should be able to get that on-line at Beneteau or call Beneteau themselves and ask or see if they can send you all the information that they give when you pourchase one of their boats. They have been pretty good that way. Good luck charlie
