40.5 Head (leaking line?)

My question concerns the raw water supply line from the hand pump to the toilet bowl. it seems this line leaves the hand pump and disappears into the wall(to form a loop above the water line) between the aft head and the nav station and then returns to the toilet bowl. i assume this is done to incorporate an anti-syphon valve so if the hand pump shut-off valve fails, you would not sink your boat. if this is correct, has anyone had a problem with this valve leaking,(i do?). ...short of cutting a hole in the wall to get to it, does anyone have any suggestions. You've figured out the installation correctly

And my guess is that the air valve in the vented loop at the top of the loop has failed, allowing water to get out instead of only bringing air in as it's supposed to. But having a good idea of what the problem is doesn't help you get to it to fix it easily. However, if it's any consolation...if there isn't, there should be access to it...'cuz sooner or later every system has to be re-hosed. So anything you have to do to create access should create permanent access...and will be an improvement.

Tight fit

I've had this valve out. You basically have to open your electrics panel, really really really squeeze your hands in, but the plastic anti siphon valve can be jogged off to the side and taken out. You'll have to remove the hoses from it first, which means using a nut driver. Tight fit, but possible. You may want to contact me on some other issues about your 40.5 head that I've solved.
