Hi
I would like to put a 3rd leisure/domestic battery on my 3 cabin Oceanis 37. I am not looking for a massive battery, only around 130Ahr.
Has anyone done this? And if so where did you a) put the battery, b) put the isolator switch, please?
Regards Rob

I don't know if you have the one-per-battery turn switches like my 2006 B323? No one ever finding a logical use for the ground switch, I bought an OEM red to replace the black. Now with 3, 31, batteries. I alternate which one battery I leave on at the dock; or on the hook, I turn one off to have a starter battery in the morning. I have had Duracells from Sams Club for years, and about to buy another set.

Thanks Ron.
Thanks for this. Yes, I had wondered about using the ground switch too! I can't see why it would be necessary either.

Luckily the 37 (at least our 2014 model) isn't quite as goofy as in Maine Sail's picture. At least they've added isolators between the banks, although it does still have the silly ground switch.

There is space in the forward cabin on the starboard side, opposite the thruster battery, although that would be a long wire run from the rest of the house bank. Maybe in the front of the starboard lazarette, with a wire run across the back of the engine compartment?
